This wool comes from the East Coast of Canada in PEI. The mill has been producing wool yarn since 1902. All of their fibres are sourced from the Maritime provinces and spun at the mill before they are delivered to me.
I've washed and cleaned the yarn before dyeing it to prepare it for you! For the last couple of years, I have been on a journey with my knitting, I only have so much time to create and play with yarn and I've started to focus on what I want to get out of my knits in the long run. I want something that will stand the test of time, remain cozy and warm, wear well (I'm tough on my knits!) and ultimately something timeless and classic that I can pass down to my kids. This yarn has filled that void - in the last two weeks I have cast on a shawl, a hat and a sweater and I have already completed two of those projects!
